Hello speeders , as few of you know me .. Am running ES1200 kit with ES Tiptronic gearbox .. I ran the ES Tiptronic gearbox for 5 years doing 100+ street races with zero issues at all .. But after I joined the 1/2mile
Event .. I noticed that joining that kind of events need better ratios / better TQ ! Tip will do the job but ... 6speed will make more speed ( better ratios for sure ) !!!!

So after talking to my friend , brother and my tuner EMRE@ESMOTOR .. We decided to swapping the tip and get it out of the car and put 6speed gearbox .. I told him Its look hard and I can not believe that looool as a lot of things should be changed ,, parts deleted , a lot of wiring .. Etc etc etc .. He said to me , do not worry it will be easy and I ll support you .. Just do it .. So I said to my self .. Ok why not loool lets do it !!

So by 2 weeks getting full support from Emre daily with pics , parts , wiring !!
the car started and 6speed gearbox in !! I was happy as it feels like new car to me ... !!!! Rpm feel very very light , car more response !!

But that's not all the story !!

I believe For 1000hp build .. Tip and 6speed ! Tip ratios is way better as it has taller ratios , 6speed 997TT OEM ratios is short .. In 500m you will shift to 6th gear very fast (1000hp) which will harm the Performance too much !

Comparing 2 cars 997tt , Same builds exactly 1000hp

Starting from 1st gear or 2nd gear .. Distance 800m or 1000m !!! Tip will be way better , the 6speed will lose a lot of time / speed while shifting ! But tip will hold boost while shifting plus the ratios is taller so shifting will be less .. In my car when I joined 1/2 mile event .. My car made 315km/h ,

So I asked Emre to build me the perfect gearbox with custom ratios that fit my needs and make my car do 340km/h in 1/2 mile !!

He started to build the gearbox and in 2 months or 3 we will join the Qatar 1/2mile

 

Sounds exciting! Going to make a big difference!

 

are you using a 996 box to do custom ratios?

Why not go sequential? Muuuuuch better than regular manual ...

Good luck on your build....it's going to be a totally diffrent ball game with that extra gear to play with .....I remember racing a stock tip...many years ago when I only had a exaust on my car ....the tip eat me up off the line because of the stupid 1-2 shift...but by 3-4 gear you could clearly see the manaul is faster...

 

Yeah Anthony bill rader sequential that is for sale at 6speed for sale section would be the best and ultimate transmission if you want to push more than 1500hp , but Still at 35K , its for people who have money to throw away lol .

A 966 tra. With gt2 rs 1-3rd gear and custom 4-6 would be a blast and still a lot less. Hmmm still there was a transmssion like that , new without a single use for sale , the one that anthony build before going sequntial and I think it was sold in uk and now its for sale in usa from wealthmanger (username) here . That is a great transmission also . I rember reading at 996TT section that someone went from 4s to 3s 60-130 only because of custom gears

You are wrong , ES built 997.1TT with sequential gearbox .. Owner drive his car daily in the traffic with zero issues !

You are 100% right !!

But 6speed will be way bad if you go 1000hp + you will not believe how fast you will shift gear after gear ! And this will harm the performance as you know !!!

 

It is not easy to drive dequential everyday.... You have to change gears at specific rpm.. Also the car will "kick" all the time.. One miss change and you will need a new sequential..

 

Honestly I did not test it , but as far is killing the hardware , you may do not know that ESMOTOR guaranteed my engine that they built and tuned

So if I asked them to build the tranny
I will be in safe hand

I did not see any tuning company do that for Porsche made 1000awhp


That's why I do not worry at all

 

Please check ESMOTOR page in the Instagram .. He is driving ES2000 997TT with sequential gearbox in traffic !!! It may be hard but it can be happend
