Torque split front to rear

Anyone know what the torque split front to rear is on 997.2 TTS? I've heard anywhere from 50/50 split to 30/70... I can't seem to find the actual answer.

Anyone? Don't even care to take a stab at the answer? I honestly don't know... That's why I'm asking.

Latest answer I received was 33.33% front and 66.66% rear. Who really knows if that's the real answer, but that's the latest one. Still curious if anyone truly knows?

Isn't it a constantly variable system?

No idea my friend, that's why I'm asking. I'm really hoping SOMEONE will actually know. The reason I want to know is because I'm seeing most of the drag racers installing D/R's on the rear only. I drag race and it piqued my curiosity as to how the power is transferred front to back on these cars?

Don't know the number, but most definitely, the split to front is LESS in Sport mode (the car becomes more "rear wheel drive" in character). You could sense this almost: steering becomes lighter when you push that button. And maybe, maybe, a touch less vibration.

I've seen a plot from T1's Mainline dyno with my car showing it being about 50/50 as the turbos spool and then changing to 70/30 once it gets planted and going. Might be different on a 997.2 though.

I'm not sure I understand your reply? I have a Turbo S... It has ELSD with torque vectoring. I'm asking about torque transfer front to back... Not side to side. But, maybe I'm uninformed as to your advise?

Pretty cool stuff. I hope mine is a varying torque transfer too. Still no definitive answer yet.

Very nice info.

So there is actually data in car's ECU/brain indicating how the torque is distributed at any given time? I wonder if this could be access easily from OBD II interface like this thing that I have http://www.ebay.com/itm/12V-Kkmoon-V...3D272311224808

Anyone who feels like trying: hands on steering wheel, where it's safe turn back and forth on steering wheel slowly (zig zag), then turn on sport mode, see if you could feel difference. The effort and response of steering in sport mode should be a touch lighter and "purer" (less "drive-train vibration" on steering wheel, if it's not entirely in my head LOL ).

See rix's response above. Yes your car, 997.1, same as rix's and mine, has varying front to back torque transfer.

For sure there is less front torque (more 2WD, less 4WD) in Sport mode. Try it and see if you could feel the difference.

I'm not doubting you.. Just very very surprised no one seems to know the ratio of torque spilt on these cars. My car is a 997.2 Turbo S. I only drag race, and I can attest to the wheel slip on launch. It's definitely spinning front and rear tires, but to what degree, I have no idea.
