new 997 led tail lights

Has anyone bought/tried these set of tail lights yet?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-2005-2008-911-997-Carrera-Targa-GT2-GT3-Turbo-Smoke-Lens-LED-Tail-Lamps/371711523480?_trksid=p5411.c100170.m2943&_trkparms =aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D2 0140131123831%26meid%3D49dbcd22a08741e2b4b9a1513ac c81d4%26pid%3D100170%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D13%26sd%3D37 1711523480

Looks like the new 3D tail lights on the new 991s and looks pretty cool at night, but no other info, especially about the manufacturer/reliability and all the check tail lights issues with DEPO / dectaine lights on this.

They'd look a little tacky when not turned on IMO. Cheap though, so not a huge loss if you bought and decided they're not for you.

Didn't buy them, but just looking to see if there are alternatives to the very problematic depo lights ( on my 3rd set already ) , these do look less oem but the smoked ones look decent when not on

Those look like crap

Understand your position with Depo lights though.. I have Dectane on my car and know they are a ticking time bomb.

The A/E lights dont look quite as good as Depo but may be a good alternative.

Friend of mine got a pair off of eBay. I think they're these. I have my criticisms but overall they don't look bad. not a bad way to spend $400

997.2 tail light conversion needs harness, rear bumper, and tail lights.
$3500 vs $600 upgrade.
