Bleeding clutch and power steering
Bleeding clutch and power steering
I have my engine out and have disconnected clutch and powersteering lines and spilt the fluid. There is a bleed valve on both the clutch slave cylinder and the power steering pump (lines also going to the slave cylinder as well which I believe is due the power assisted clutch)
What is the procedure bleeding these systems?
Thanks

Can I just bleed it with a vacum bleeder at the slave bleeder valve, or do I have to use a pressure bleeder at the front? I also found one place that the clutch pedal should be depressed when bleeding. Is this correct?
What is the bleed valve at the ps pump for?

Hi, just tried bleeding with Motive pressurised about 0,5 bar, but there is not a drop coming out of the bleed screw at the slave... Any ideas?
The flow was good yesterday when flushing the system with the hose disconnected at the slave cylinder, so it seems it stops when it enters the slave...

Ok thanks. No need to let the engine run while bleeding? I just have to ask as a normal, non power assisted clutch there is no need to use that much pressure. Vacum at the bleed screw is just fine.
