Exhaust: Techart - GMG - Kline

So I may have jumped the gun here but my car currently has a catted Techart system with cats.

I decided I wanted to go with a new system and was debating between a GMG system which included both cats/catless or a catless Kline system.

What I am looking for is an aggressive deep exhaust sound with little to no drone. The car is a weekend cruiser and drive to work a few times a week.

I've search for GMG exhaust clips, but there really are only 1-2 on youtube and I don't know if they are catted or catless.

With that said, I ended up making the jump on the GMG because it comes with both options and tips (Are those fabspeed or knock-offs?) but now

1. Can't decide to install the exhaust catted or catless first. How easy is to swap in/out the midpipes once installed?

2. Second guessing myself and thinking if I should have just went with the Kline.

If anyone has their own GMG/Kline clips, it would be greatly appreciated!

Here is the GMG system I got and if anyone is interested in the Techart, let me know and I'll make it available once I remove it.

GMG sounds great, it definitely has a deeper growl than the Kline and more presence. I prefer the Kline because I think its a better daily driver and its much more comfortable inside the car and sounds great from the outside.

I like my Kline for the same reasons as prodigy. Not obnoxious at low rev but spool up the turbo's and it's game on.

You can read my build thread. I had Kline and sold it. Put BBi on and pulled it right off. I bought a new Kline same one I had before. Little to no drone and great for daily driver. At 600whp I see no difference in performance between BBi and Kline.

Have the Kline and has absolutely no drone at all. Sounds a hair louder than stock at low rpm and sounds incredible higher up. Mine is 2.5 so not the loudest exhaust out there but works perfectly for me.

I have a GMG with 200 cel cats and love it. It had a nice deep sound and rips at WOT. I do not notice any severe drone and its a weekend cruiser. I also have GMG headers.

I have a 70mm Kline with 100 cell cats.

Barely any drone on the Kline. But if i were to nitpick (and when i say nitpick, i'm really nitpicking), i do notice a tiny bit of resonance in 6th at 70. But with that said, overall a great system and it's sold by a great seller, Sam. In my opinion, the vehicle should come with the Kline pre-installed from the factory. Since your vehicle came with the Techart, you may or may not know the OEM system is Prius quiet.

However, sometimes i do wish my exhaust was a bit more raw and a bit more loud. If that's you, the Kline might be a bit tame for you.

You know what I'm going to say ha ha. What's interesting is with our decat design you get a little more Mr. Hyde and then the doctor Jekyll side is even more tame just because of the flow design. So many configurations and I always stand behind my guys to make sure we get it right. There are several versions now as well. Thanks for the kind words and my line is always open to help out! Always in stock!

Would you by chance be able to record a video of it?

I'll likely be playing around with my configuration. A lot of guys speak highly on the Kline so if for some reason I have problems with the GMG, I'll be calling you for a new system

Just pull the cats and it will be what you're looking for. As allways Sam is the man for everything Kline.

Once the exhaust is installed, how easy is it to switch in/out the cat/non-cat test pipe in the system? Do you need to go through in removing the rear bumper and everything again or can you just jack the car up and just change that section without removing anything else?

Cheers guys. It's usually not too bad. In your case the cat section iso g with a tight corner so you might need to fiddle with it a little bit and loosen everything but it won't be too bad. I'm here to help if you need. Just the right wiggles and you'll be OK...yes that's what she said haha!

Like Sam said it's not a bad job. Nothing like the stock cats. The decat pipe is a breeze to put in due to its size. No bumper removal for the job either.

I wish...Damn Siri every time! Sorry for that I edited so it makes sense. The joke at the end was just too easy and it's Friday. The happy hour part maybe in about one hour!

Seriously you won't know until you try. It will be a little bit louder without cats in the case of that system and will perform better with tuning. You could put the cats on if you thought it was loud to maybe take the edge off. That will make it deeper though and could have a different downside. As many people mentioned it is a nice exhaust and lots of people love it. Just a little on the aggressive side.
