PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS DME REPORT PLEASE ASAP 997 turbo

I am looking to buy a 2007 turbo with 30,000 miles. Also I am worried about verifying the mileage is there a way to do that with this report? The The car is across the county and I just got a PPI and everything came back good, except this DME report what are your guys thoughts? From what they said is the hours next to the over revs is the amount of hours ago since the over rev occurred? 901 hrs ago since the last range 6 over rev? Does that mean the car should be in the clear since its been a while since the higher lever over revs? I read that modified cars can throw off the dme reports? Please help!!

The car is modified
RSC Tuning Inconel Exhuast & High Flow Cats
Upgraded Turbos
Upgraded Intercoolers
Upgraded Intake
RSC Modified ECU

The hours listed is the operating hour at which the last overrev occurred, not how many operating hours ago. Ask the person pulling the DME to provide you with the total operating hours.

Many here would be scared by this DME as there are range 4-6 overrevs (although only 2 range 6 overrevs is likely an aberrant reading). However, if the car has >1350 operating hours or so and drives well, the risk of acute damage from the over-revs is low.

A couple points:
1. Range 1 counter is pretty much maxed out. The isn't completely unusual to see on a tuned car...especially if it has been tuned (with raised rev limit) for some time.
2. I would be worried more about the range 4 and 5 over-revs as they are more recent and more likely to be real readings than the range 6.
3. This car appears to have been driven primarily for around town, stop and go, etc. type driving. I make this assumption as the average mph is <25
4. If you like the car, everything else checks out on the PPI, and the engine operates smoothly/strong, I personally wouldn't stress about the DME. Just know it will make it harder to resell the car later (to an educated buyer)

Thank you! The only thing I am worried about is there was no total hours available on the readout and if you take the range one and divide that by 25mph that you are assuming then that puts this car at 50k miles not the advertised 30k. If you divide it by 40mph average that I was basing it off of the mileage is spot on.

I am no physicist/actuary/mathematician, but if the car has 30,000 miles on it and a total of 1300 operating hours, that means it averaged 23 mph. That is on the low end. If it averaged 40 mph+, the car would have been heavily tracked, tons of high speed highway miles, etc.

In any case, just saw you also posted on Rennlist and there was a bit more response there. Hope the info you received helps you move forward with a decision.

Is that low of mph a red flag? Or normal for city driven cars?

Is that mph normal for city driven cars? Someone was saying it was too low and now I'm stressing.

It's on the low end of normal, but it doesn't sound fraudulent and it probably does just mean that it's sat in traffic a fair amount. Most TTs I've seen end up around 25-35mph average. I'd highly doubt that there have been shenanigans with the odometer or DME or anything. Someone that determined to create a scam car would have cleaned the overrevs out, for one thing.

The low average MPH is definitely not a red flag, just more an imperfect indicator of how the car was likely driven. That mileage and avg. mph would make me guess it was mainly a garage queen driven around town like once or twice a month. That isn't a bad thing at all as long as routine maintenance was still completed.

Thank you! Yes they said the car passed the ppi with flying colors and looked like it had a lot less miles than the 30k, I bought the car.
