315 yoko vs 305 pirelli ????

I have a c2 (narrowbody) and have some 19 x 11's on the way.

I have heard that a 315/25 yokohama is narrower than the 305/25 pirelli, is this correct?

Thanks for your input.

trozenhorse is infamous around these parts
315 is the width of the tire, the wider the width the higher the number....i have 19's coming on a C2, been recommended by arling to run the 305-25-19 to keep the best overall diameter to stock, and therfore he also recommends the Pirelli cause of the sizing....oh yea 235-35-19 fronts, good luck

I know how all the sizing numbers work but I was wondering about shape of the sidewalls. Some tires tend to have a more rounded corner while some are more squared.

yes Yoko AVS sport has rounded sidewalls. in fact they are really narrow compare to other 315s. they look funky mounted on 11''s i've seen. wheel sticks out of the tire.

yoko 315 was very popular when they were ''the one.'' never made it to DOT though.
