If 997 has to go, what’s the replacement?
I’m not going to personally remark on how I feel about this president... save that for the political forums, but if he gets his way what would your next luxury car be?

Considering I now make/keep a substantial amount more per year, thanks to coherent and practical monetary polices being enacted, I may forgo 997 altogether and go 997.2 route

I would be totally bummed but I would have to say the 570S would be closest but the P car is so much more usable for me.
We did drive the 650S and my wife loved the look, and once inn she was fine, but she did not like the egress on the McLaren (she was in a dress at the time

i don't want to turn this into a political debate... but Trump says a lot of sh*t.... often whatever happens to pop into his head at the moment. God bless him for speaking his mind and stirring up the status-quo, but I would bet my entire life savings that a ban on german automobiles will never materialize.
That being said, its a good context to discuss what alternatives we would choose if we had to give up our beloved P-cars. For me, it would probably be a Mclarean as well. Probably the MP4-12c. It is a super value and is easily upgradeable to 570 or 720 performance. The issue I have with it is that it is too flashy. I like the understated looks of my 997.2 TTS.

Oh heck, even if the doors were normal I'd never get one. Just... too.. flashy for me. I love my stealthy 997 Turbo S. Almost looks a bit boring. Love that about it.
