Sounds like a tractor?

I've heard that these engines rattle and groan, with ticks galore. But I'd still like some reassurance that what I'm hearing is to be expected on my '08 Turbo. It happens when the car's cold AND when it's warmed up. When accelerating, there's a chattering sound coming from the back of the car that changes with RPM, but only while my foot's on the gas, and only under 2500 RPM or so. It goes away as soon as I let off the pedal. If I disengage the clutch, the noise disappears, regardless of what I do with the skinny pedal. I managed to get a little bit of audio:

In this video, I'm getting on and then off the gas while driving through my neighborhood. You can hear the noise I'm talking about at the following marks:
9 seconds
13 seconds
17 seconds
23 seconds
29 seconds

Where is this noise coming from?

So only when the transmission is engage and under power?

Can you tell if the sound is coming from the front or the rear?

lightweight flywheel?

Did it just start or did it always do it? Could also be DMF failing?

Yup, only when engaged and under power. Noise coming from behind me while driving.

Possible that the car has a lightweight flywheel. I just bought it. It's happened the entirety of the few days I've owned it.

I looked up a video to learn about DMF issues:

My noise doesn't happen when idling, only while driving. Is it still possible that it's the DMF?

I've never noticed mine making that jackhammer-y sound. My first thought was also a lightweight flywheel.

^ Wow. It's not nearly THAT bad. Here's an idle clip:

Hrm. And when listening to it, it does KINDA have that tractor-like sound to it. A little bit.

Could be a throw out bearing. Normally go away when the clutch is pressed in.

Well if you end up going in there, can get a new stock dual mass flywheel here for cheap.

Midas will upgrade the clutch

Often such a problem occurs because of the bearing, the reason for this can be banal wear or atmospheric corrosion. It is also possible that the bearing simply deformed. I had a problem with the wear of the bearing and its subsequent deformation , my car was humming like a tractor and I ordered parts from these guys https://www.heming-engineering.co.uk/ , I found a website with spare parts for tractors and found on it the tweezers that are perfect for my car. It was amazing and very strange, now my car has a great sound.

Experienced car mechanics will determine the sound source and the nature of the breakdown depending on the sound. The more experienced the car driver, the higher the failure rate. However, it would be useful for any car owner to be able to read the sudden sounds. In some cases, the sound that appears indicates a malfunction, and in others, the resource of one or another ensemble is nearing exhaustion but can be safely exploited for a while. By the way, at https://www.machinerydealer.co.uk/compact-tractors-for-sale/ you can find a good selection of compact tractors and used machinery.

LWFW chatter is pretty common but at idle it will always get noticeably quieter when you push the sport button ,so if not i'd say something else.
