TheAutoCulture 997.1 Turbo 6 Speed from Texas BUILD THREAD (PIC HEAVY)

Hello everyone!

It’s been a long time since I’ve had a fun car. But after much research and long dreams, I got something I believe that I could build my happiness! Inspired by a lot by BBI, True Performance, Emotion Engineering, ByDesign and other builds!!!

Ultimate goal is street/track/”canyon” car, I guess that’s everyone’s goal. As strange as I am, I love having the “race car” feeling when I drive on the street!

Bought the car in Florida, consignment, from Florida Performance Cars and shout out to Orbit for doing the PPi! Amazing people!

When I first got the car I was like… WOW this clutch is BRUTAL, then.. I drove it. IT WAS INSANELY FAST! I came from a gutted E92 M3. Then I did some pulls in Mexico and that proved me otherwise.. It was pretty slow for what it is LOL
It hasn’t been tuned since 2012 when they installed the Switzer Kit. 517awhp… That’s when I contacted @SamboTT@ByDesign !!!

Here’s what the car currently has…

Switzer SPI750 VTG Package
-Upgraded VTG Turbos
-MONSTER 6” Intercoolers
-Billet Y Pipe (IC Upper Plumbing Kit)
-DME Programming
-SPI Headers
Sharkwerks SS Coolant Pipes
BMC Air Filter
Sachs 2.5 w Refinished DMFW
BBi Conversion GT2 Slave Cylinder
RSS Motor Mounts
Torque Solutions Transmission Mounts
OEM GT2 Anti-Roll Bar
Bilstein PSS10 w PASM
Cobb AP - ByDesign Custom Tune!
GT3 Front Grill
OZ Ultraleggera Wheels 19x8.5 19x11 MPSC2
Recaro Speed Seats
Recaro Rails
OMP 5-Point harness
991 BBi Street Cup Harness Bar
Numeric Shifter
Number Cables
DSC Sport Controller
Rennline 4 Pedal Set
Auto-Blip with Install
Michelin Cup 2 235/35
Michelin Cup 2 305/30
Outer Tie Rod 997
5 mm front Spacers
17 mm rear spacers
Escort Radar and Jammer
Interstate Battery
Interior Door Panel CF
Interior Door Trim CF
50% Ceramic Tint
PPF Front
Tow Hook
991 Cup Steering Wheel
Sparco Hub
Krontec Quick Disconnect
Sirius XM Radio

Installing this weekend!!!
Denso #3245 Spark Plugs
Speedtech 3.0 Race Straight X-Pipe Catless
GT3 Throttle Body 82mm
Silly Rabbit Motorsports Plenum
ID1300x Fuel Injectors

Then having a retune again with @SamboTT@ByDesign
...can’t say this enough and I’m sure everyone has read on the board. AMAZING SERVICE!!! Thank you SAM!
When he first sent me the tune, it was the “Stage 1” tune so he can get a data log of the car. Immediately, it felt like the car could breathe better and just felt nice! Then I sent him the log and he sent back the new tune. OMG!!! It was insane, much faster, crazy throttle response, extremely hard pulls! NIGHT AND DAY. Can’t wait to get the listed above installed and re-tune for E85. Scared and EXCITED!

My ultimate end goal is to build a GT2RS CLONE, AWD, 750whp+, built internals to have high RPM (8-9K) with Cup/RSR suspension and super lightweight!

Future:
OEM GT2RS Front Bumper (OTW)
OEM GT2RS Rear Bumper (OTW)
OEM GT2RS Wing (OTW)
OEM GT2RS Decklid (OTW)
OEM GT2 Side Skirts (OTW)
OEM GT2RS Radiator Housing (OTW)
OEM GT2RS Front LEDs (OTW)
OEM Centerlocks (OTW)
BBS E07 19x9 19x12 Black Theme (OTW)
Pirelli Trofeo R
Wrapping it .. not sure what color..
OEM GT2RS CF Hood
OEM GT2RS CF Mirrors (OTW)
OEM GT2RS Side Vents (OTW)
Kustomz Ultd Gurney Flap (OTW)
997.2 Clear LED Tail Lights (OTW)
Roof Delete or CF roof?
RS Door Straps CF
Alcantara Lower Trim Set
CAE Shifter w/ CF Housing
CF Center Console Trim
PMNA Cup Front Uprights
PMNA Cup Rear Uprights
BBi Street Cup Full Suspension Goodies
Swift Springs for PSS10 700/900 or Custom JRZ triple
Paint Roll Bar and Calipers
Recaro Pole Positions (Alcantara)
GT2 or Cup Front Brake Ducts
Under-drive Pulley BBi or OEM 4.0
Lexan Rear Window
Lexan Side Windows
AntiGravity Battery
3.8L internals build (pistons, pods, heads, etc)

Some questions I’ll have along the way is…
Cup suspension parts? Or BBi/Tarrett/RSS? Or RSR? Or etc? What’s the main differences for the arms, links, dog bones, bump steer, monoballs and etc. TIA!!!

HERE ARE THE PICTURES

FIRST TIME SEEING IT!

WOWZA

Didn't know about the GT3 grill

PlastiDipped the Side Vents

Tested out the Agency Power GT2 Wing

Looked cool only from this angle

Other side

Looked OFF in the rear, I think it needs LED tails

Before the install and neighbors G

I'd be worried about the tow hook bouncing around and scratching up the bumper. I looks cleaner without it too.

Looks like a sick build. Get some 60-130 times or a timeslip!
