Interior upgrade

Decided to upgrade the interior to a painted center console. The factory unit with its “ soft touch” material was not aging well and was looking a bit shabby. Car only has 39k miles and is pampered but the console was a bit sticky and the material subject to marking. So thanks to a great looking unit from Bumper Plugs and a little sweat equity...yes it hot in Texas, the interior looks awesome. Of note two things that were an issue, the airbag light was “aged” by heat and age and literally crumbled so trip to dealer, and the power socket in the storage bin is a total PIA to get out. Now my only issue is fingerprints😂

lflouie is infamous around these parts
Two possible solutions for finger prints: 1) ceramic coat painted portion of console, 2) ppf film on console. I have ppf on mine, works great.

That looks fantastic! I the same issue on my 996TT and painted it body color. I just bought a 997TT yesterday and the interior is stunning - it has great options but the center console is a disaster. It's black and coated with the same thing. I can't believe Porsche used that soft coating for so many years. I am going to order arctic silver parts for mine. Bumper plugs does amazing work and everything I've bought from them in the past has been perfect.
Congratulations on the upgrade - well worth the $.
