DSC unit for 997.1 Turbo: Review

Installed DSC sport controller on 997.1 today. (bought second hand)

For the last 6 years the annual mileage is 400 miles ONLY. I preferred not to drive 997.1 Turbo due its harsh / uncomfortable ride.

DSC unit softened the ride, the difference makes me want to drive the car more often.

On highway the car is softer. The rebound feels softer. At 50-60-70 miles and partial throttle the ride is very very soft.

Over pots and holes car is much softer.

Small pots and small holes are not detected, almost not felt.

Under breaking the nose dives softer, the nose goes down softer.

Did not push in curves or at a track.

Full throttle, did not notice a difference.

Amazing product, 997.1 Turbo should come from factory like this.

In SPORT mode: the ride is harsh, at least for me.

When you press Sport button, SHOCKS stay in non-sport mode.

I was not expecting that much of a change from DSC unit.

Thanks to all who mapped the

Not sure how you guys are saying the front end doesn't push in hard turns or round abouts. When driven hard, it definitely pushes even with full race suspension. At that point you have to correct by briefly letting off the throttle so the *** can swing around.

Just don't let off the throttle too long otherwise you'll do the spineroo...ask me how I know! At mosport up here in Canada and thankfully didn't hit the wall. Love the DSC unit.

Haha, I know that feeling as well! Definitely a no-no with a wet track but you can get away with just slightly on a tight turn when the front end starts to wash.

I did NOT say 1 word about pushing in corners. Please re-read

I think he read this from the post:

"Did not push in curves or at a track." (I think you meant to add the word "it" between "push" and "in")

and interpreted it to mean that the car does not push in corners.

I read it as: You didn't track the car or drive it hard in corners when testing the DSC.

Of course I could be making a mistake (wouldn't be the first time for me) and misreading it as well.

Thanks. That was the way I read it as well which is why I responded in that way. These cars will push on the track or when cornering hard
