992 TTS Sport Exhaust

My new 2021 992 TTS was delivered last Saturday. I bought it with the optional Sport Exhaust for better exhaust note than stock even though I was concerned it wouldn't be loud enough. It isn't.

I had called SharkWerks, the exhaust I had on my 2017 991.2 TTS, which I loved and highly recommend, and spoke with the development engineer, before I ordered the new car and they were not even in development for the 992 exhaust yet so not many choices.

Does anyone know of an aftermarket exhaust sound enhancement for the Porsche Sport Exhaust for a 992? I don't want to scrap the Porsche Sport Exhaust as I like the button control but I'd like a better growl (like the SharkWerks exhaust produces).

We have the PSE on our 992 turbo S and I think that it sounds pretty good. You can definitely hear it sitting in another car with windows up, so I wouldn’t say it’s quiet. It makes a nice back fire in sport mode when you downshift as well.

I personally wouldn’t get an aftermarket unless you could link the exhaust button to your new exhaust. I find it very useful (and fun) to turn the exhaust off and on via the button that Porsche gives you in the dash.

with that being said, JCR and Akrapovich are the best exhausts for 992 cars

We have a 992 Turbo Kline exhaust in stock , ready for immediate delivery. It sounds great!

I don't think you read my message. I have already invested $3400 in the Porsche system. I don't want to scrap that, whether it is Tubi, Kline, fabspeed or whatever. I'm looking for a parts upgrade that fits the existing system that enhances the sound.

I did read it .... however that system just doesn't sound great ( as you have found )

We have cat bypass pipes in stock that work with the Sport exhaust, they do make it sound a little better.

Thanks. So Kline makes cat bypass pipes that fit into the existing system without a lot of alteration? Does the button still function (I wouldn't care if it wasn't for future resale). Can my local guy install it? About how much are the parts?

Yes the Kline bypass pipes replace the OEM cat pipes for a direct fit without any alteration needed, the button still functions. Anyone can install them.

Send me a note to mark@aimperformancenj.com and I will send you a quote.

As others have suggested, if you don't want to change the exhaust, and I understand that, just put in the cat bypass. That'll change everything, and you'll have exactly what you're looking for. I was considering that option, as I did it on my Urus, and it became a louder than you could possibly imagine, with more growl and more way more

popping. But I decided to go with the Kline this time and a cat bypass, which I just did today. Sound is incredible!

The sport exhaust sounded ok, I just wanted a little more sound and power, so my car went west, Kline headers, catless, Kline exhaust, all in inconel, big turbo's intercooler, and M Tuning

M-Engineering can likely open the flaps more.

Not sure if that's already 100% for Turbo but for non Turbo 992 the PSE flaps have a lot more range it can open with a flash.
