Wood beam for jack stand

I am thinking geting 2 like this and make a 20 cm high jack stand, using two one on another.

there is no problem lifting teh front only of 20 cm? i just hope i can reach 20 cm with my jack as the wheel are going down when you lift it , otherwise i will do it of 15 cm high only.

so my proceduire will be to set the car on jack stand as low as possible so i can drain the oil, ( no risk being trapped under the car its quick to drain it, 4 jacks are needed to drain flat ) then i lift it and put the wood peices under the front and i remove the rear jack, then i can take the undertray out and the triangleliner out and i should be able to change the air filter like this.. i know one has done it on his rapide when it was on a ramp so its the same here.

this is better for me doing it like this with the floor i have...

instead of building a cribbs i think this is even better, i can finish it by reinforcing it with screwing a metal flexible band around so it won't crack easy. or i ask a metal worker to weld a metal frame around.

what do you guys think?

well the front wheel are never blocked but the rears are. you must not forget the parking brake....

sorry i want add this video, at the minute 8, he is lifting his car, is it ok to lift one side on cribbs directly (if they are like 18 cm of height) but then when you lift the other side all the car load is on the first side suspension, do you think its ok or what do you think, this is instead of using jack before, can you lift the car on wheel cribbs like he did, is it ok for the suspension bushing etc?

in my case i would like to lift teh front only, do you think i can lift the left front, set the wood cribbs under left wheel and then lift the other side and set the wood cribbs on the right wheel?

this way i only need two of these,,,and in my case sliding the cribbs under the wheel directly and i gain 2-3 cm more, than going from jack stand to the cribbs....anyway. cause with jack stand i dont feel going more than 36 cm. and then sliding the 15 cm height cribbs might be too tight under the wheel due to the wheel going down when you lift.

the way to set cribbs on fronts only may be too much for the first front side suspension when you lift the second side, only the fronts....its even worst than what he does maybe...cause more weight will be on the left front wheel only...

well i will set the car on 4 jack stands at 36 cm of height, once the oil is drained, i lift a bit more the car to remove the jack stands and i slide the 15 cm plain cribbs under the front wheels. and here we go....i order the wood i hope the metal worker will be quick and can do a 1 cm thick frame with some super heavy welding of 1 cm thicks at least which will be hundred time better than any jack stands with so light welding from china...just than my wood will be only 31 cm long in this case...not 70 cm long him which is more secure. ( though not sure 70 cm is good if you lift the front only, you will not need lot of length in the back not to touch the chassis)

I finally order a piece of 240 cm X 20 X 12
Oak tree without drying.
I will cut in piece of 60 x 20 x 12 and add 3 cm board of pine.
Around it will have a metal structure 6 mm thick.
I also order a db5 stamp to put on it.
Hopefully with a 14 cm clearance, the front will be at 29 cm....and I can remove the under tray the rear part will be 20 cm of height only as I plan to let the rear wheel on the ground.

Some says it's better to use softer wood like pine cause before it cracks its noisy etc but in my case with metal around I m not worry the oak cracks. They re should be a nice pair of stands
I looked at the race ramp type, they re to freak out for me and expensive, too high to set up. Impossible to reach with an Aston....
