Checking diferential and gearbox fluid level

do you know how to check the level in the differential and gearbox? on a rapide or db9 i guess its the same.
i drove 25000 kms since these were serviced but I want check the level now.I heard many have topped up their differential...

no dipstick for the gearbox on the rapide so you check by removing the plug, if oil comes out of plug its good, if not, stick your finger inside and check how low it is and refill, same for the diferential....

Correct for the differential.

When you say gearbox... is that a manual or a ZF6 automatic transmission?

Thanks AM-DB9.2 Its a zf auto.
i m geting ready to do a coolant chnage and battery swap soon.
i am waiting an oak wood beam that hopefully a metal worker will weld walls around and one or 2 other bars so i can use them as jack stands and continue the services. that will allow me to lift the front wheels of 15 cm high. and i may have some of 12 cm high for the rears wheels as when we lift the front are higher than the rear....and lifting the rear upto 15 cm is a challenge i dont like with my floor. anyway it be better than some 6t jack from china. will post images when its done.

Aston1936 has a write up that includes how to set/verify the transmission fluid level, the key is the needed fluid temp.
