anyone at the Nurburgring in mid July?

hi all.

i'll be at the 'Ring in mid-late July, after taking delivery of both the RT12 and GT3. i want to pop both cars' 'Ring cherries before shipping them back home.

anyone going to be at the track around then? might be fun to meet up there?

cheers!

Well if you're going to take delivery of your RT12, I know I'll be working at the factory and adamt might be there to, so maybe we could all just drive up there on the weekend?

what part of Germany is the 'ring in? Is it far from Munich? what about Frankfurt (I have to fly into one of those in the coming weeks and possibly again later in the summer, a 'ring detour would definitely make my trip!)

Nurburg is about 90 mins to 2 hrs drive from Frankfurt. Definitely possible to make it a day tirp (i.e., leave Frankfurt in the AM and then be back by evening). Though I may stay overnight at one of the many small hotels around the 'Ring itself.

Even if you don't actually drive the track, just hanging around the 'Ring on a weekend is quite a fest for gearheads, because of the fantastic variety of cars that turn up!

Not to mention Manthey Motors is down the road, and DEFINITELY worth a visit for any Porschephile. (Does anyone know if he still has the blue McLaren F1 in the lobby? It was there last October)

Where's the Nurburg track in relation to Stuttgart? I'm going on vacation for a week there in December, I want to see the town I was born in!!! Prob. too icy to ride but would be cool to see in person!

I am thinking of being there either in July or September. Still deciding. There is a Nordschleife course in both those months with GT3 Clubsports. Trying to get a few people to go. Will keep you posted.

Congrats on the deliveries btw.

Of course you should! It's awesome there but you have to drive it, even if you have a POS rental!
