so this local guy is selling a clk500 and it's white (my favorite color).
I call him to schedule a test drive. I am suppose to test drive the car tomorrow afternoon. The car has all the options but the mileage was a bit high IMHO. 44k miles. I talk to the guy and he seems okay.
today i check and he has 47k miles on it and bumped up the asking price by 1k. hmm. 3k extra miles for 1k extra. wtf???
Now, i am ticked off and wonder if this guy has no common sense.
maybe i am better off not even seeing the car.

one more reason why i hate buying used ****, people have 2 much drama and stories that doesn't make any sense whatsoever...

 

What year is the car and what's the asking price? I would not buy a car that has over 15k mi per year. That's usually a sign that the owner just don't care and drive it everywhere. The current body style CLK is outgoing in a year or two. I like the first generation CLK much better.

 

^ What he said.. plus as a CLK owner ... i dont like the current body style ... it looks cheap IMHO .... i wud def recommend the V8 ... the 320 has no kick ...

I wanted something somewhat temporary since i jus bought my first house this year ....

I don know your age group .. but at 25 ... for me the 525i seemed to be a good compromise between luxury and comfort ... i still have my CLK but i wanted somethin with 4 doors as well ..

 

well for me, it's the other way around. i have a m3 that i will sell and a SUV.
I did consider the 525i and might do it. I think it looks hot in the new Hartge Classic wheels. That is a consideration.

I say an older CLK55 AMG (W208) years 2000-2002 are specatcular in looks than the newer ones that looks girly, If you want the W209 current CLK get the 63 AMG!

 

clk63, hmm wouldn't that be a nice transition car. lol.
