My new 997TT!

Okay, so it isn't the real thing...that won't come for a couple of months but my salesperson surprised me with this 1:18 model of the 997TT. It's in Meteor Grey with Terracotta leather interior. Stunning color combination! Mine will be GT silver with black interior so this is not even close.

One thing that I noticed about this model is that it doesn't have the sunroof cutout leading me to wonder if Porsche has some 997TT's without the sunroof?

I don't know if it's from Maisto...seems like an official model from Porsche. Everything on the box says "Porsche."

What wheels/mods/etc do you think are available for my 1:18 model?

Most European 997TT will be without the sunroof. It's available as an option here.

I'm surprised that sunroofs are an option in Europe but is standard here in the US. We should be able to choose whether or not we want the sunroof or not here too.

Yeah, I don't understand why they do that. It's option code 650 here and costs about 1100 euro.

All 997's for NA are cursed with the non-negotiable sunroof. Even GT3 it seems will have one. Porsche evidently did not have a 997 non-sunroof car safety tested to pass DOT guidelines.
Atomic, I remember you from the M5 board years ago. Congrats on the TT order.

Paul,

Of course I remember you....I see you on here sometimes and wondered how you'd been. You planning to get the 997TT or will you stick with your C2S?
