The top case is in really good condition, one scratch that I can think of. The bottom, of course, is a bit beaten up. I can take photos if anyone is interested in the machine. It has been absolutely rock solid for me for over a year. I'm talking 30 day+ uptimes only interrupted for update installation. There is a single dead pixel in the LCD, but I barely notice it. You pretty much can only see it when there is a total white background on the machine. To be completely honest, I just bought a new Intel machine and I think with the large amount of RAM and the lack of universal binaries for all programs, the old Powerbook was a faster and is CERTAINLY a more well-built machine. I don't regret the new macbook, but I really wish it was as nice as this machine I'm selling.

I have lots of feedback on eBay and have made a few deals on different websites if anyone is concerned about me being relatively new here. I just sold an iPod to a 6speeder and it is in the mail to him now.

 

Price reduced to $1000. Don't make me eBay this, please!

Thanks for the well-wishing. I own the macbook you speak of and it is actually significantly slower and not nearly as well built. I honestly regret the decisions, but just ordered 2gb of RAM to hopefully speed up the macbook.

Just going by numbers is nice. Experience means a lot more though.

The new Macbook is all Hype when it comes to it's speed. It has been tested over and over and the Powerbook has beat it eveytime, and it is much more stable. That being said Im looking at getting a Macbook myself since i am a simple Internet Browser and Messenger. Plus i have my Naughty Web Cam business (LOL)

 

I have owned 5 macs including 2 of the new intel based. The new ones are much faster. You should cancel your order and just buy this guy's then....

 

My experience is not the same as yours. Maybe I'll change my tune when the 2gb of RAM comes in. At least with the powerbook, I never had to eject a cd using a credit card slipped in the disc slot, as I have to with the macbook.

 

ZLP- I own a 17inch Powebook and LOVE IT. reason for my Macbook is for a smaller 15 inch with web cam, and windows for the family!
