What do you guys think, so I order one now, or wait for a possible 3.8 litter turbo or other upgrades down the pipeline.

Also is it possible to do an ecu power upgrade on the overboost option on the car.

Ant feedback would be great

If you wait for something better you will always be waiting. Buy a hearse because you will be dead, as there is always something better coming along. JMHO

jlingk is infamous around these parts
2011 model year apparently will be the next Carrera and from what I'm hearing, it will be the final version of the car with a 4.0 litre engine, the physical limit of the current 6 cyl design. Might be worth waiting.

And on...... "if it will be possible to do an ecu power upgrade".........well I'd hope so......many people with 996TTs took them to 550 or 600 (or more) several yrs ago, with relative ease.

IMO, I think you should order your new turbo and get it whenever you can. If you sit back and wait for this and that you will be going crazy. Alsoi, they just made the 997TT and it should be around for at least two or three years more. As far as the turbo 997S, thats gonna be a nice car and will be VERY expensive and at that point you will be saying to yourself that maybee I should NOT get that car because of whats after that!!

Reguardless; Get the 997TT and end it. Life is too short and stop worrying about whats next..

Then in that case, waiting it out may be the ticket for you. Maybee picking up a nice clean 996TT will work out good for you.

The only reason I would not pick one up (if that was the car I wanted) would be due to potential first year production issues...other than that, buy away!
