I was headed for some tight twisties on Saturday and a 944 got on ahead of me on the straight that was at the start. To my suprise he hammered it. I reeled him in a lot faster than I thought I could and we hit the twisties with me on his tail. No matter what he tried I was on him and he could not pull away as I was breaking later and on the power sooner. For the most part I wasn't even shifting, the broad torque band was all I needed. What I did not expect was that I was doing this and still keeping to the break in rules, no wot, no rpms over 4k, and no overboost. I can't wait for the breakin mileage to be over. Amazing car.

Aww Kamon. It was my little kill story.
I'm not ready for big fish yet, I hardly know the car. The suprise was that the 944 was going for all its worth, and I kept up with him without making an effort.

At first I was worried that the 944 beat you. They do handle pretty well for a 20 yr old car. That is a testament to the 997TT though, you can win a race without breaking 4000 RPMS; that great torque band helps
