My nikon 5400 just died last week. I checked out bhphotovideo and ordered a canon rebel xt. They do seem to have good prices and a decent reputation.

 

you can forget about the above post. i cancelled the order. its impossible to get anyone with a clue on the phone if you want to know anything about your order, like if it shipped or not.

i am also in the market...sort of....and checking out what to get.
thinking of picking up a nikon or canon. probably the former.

I got totally side tracked. My partner has a D50 so I have been using that when I need better quality than my Cannon SD. I think I will start looking again next month, let me know if you find anything.

 

I have a Canon 20D that I will be ready to sell in a couple of weeks.
