E55 Landing 2/6 Dealer Prep?

E55 Landing 2/6 Dealer Prep?
My E55 is finally here 10/02 and 12/02 deposits (2 different dealers). It is landing off the ship on Friday, should hit Chicago around 2/13. I am really leery of the dealers screwing with it for test drives ... because there are so few. My plan is to have them call me before they unload the thing and hang around until they release it to me. I will also go out with the tech on the test drive. Of course no washing at the dealer (it's black). Make sense or am I a wacko? Anything else I should do?

congrats color,
the more i learn from this board the more I agree with the above setiments. Don't let them touch a thing and do the prep yourself or at least oversee. Know your TT is still a ways a way but would be very eager to hear how you would rate the benz compared to the turbo. Happy Valentines Day

I told the MB sales manager that if they want the 5* "god I love this dealership" rating and a letter on my letterhead, to call me before they unload the car and let me wait around until they finish the minimal prep. I should have it Thurs or Friday. It's on a truck from Baltimore now.
