These brakes are unreal...
So I was coming home from work today...sitting in traffic...I decided that it would be a good time to fiddle with the multi function steering wheel...I was blasting my favorite Beastie Boys cd (check your head)...kind of got in a zone and was really enjoying the bose system (so incredibly improved over the 996)...so I am flicking through songs with the scroll wheel and looked up...all of a sudden some dumb *** cut in front of me and came to a total stop.
I slammed on the brakes and felt like I didn't move an inch...these brakes are unreal. Without question the best stopping power I have ever felt.
If you are worried about whether you need PCCB's...I have to say...the stockers are beyond fantastic.

Question on the "flicking thru songs with the scroll wheel"....you are referring to the scroll wheel on steering wheel. How in the world did you get that working??? I have failed setting up the scroll button. Can you post a step by step on how you got to use the scroll wheel so routinely. Thanks.
I followed your procedure, can now change the CD easily.......thanks

Honestly I was literally just playing with it while in traffic...I burned a cd with about 110 songs...from what I remember I hit the menu button on the left side of the steering wheel...it got me to the track list menu...then used the right scroll button and it went from one song to the next...that was just before I nearly S myself with my near accident.
I'll try it again tomorrow on the way to work...sad to admit it but I have not yet read the manual (which is very unlike me)...perhaps it has more info on these features?

The steel brakes are excellent. No fade under hard track work. Sounds like you almost had a theatrically tragic moment! I did something similar with a new MDX once. Flew to a dealership 300 miles away to pick up the new 01 MDX (quite hot at the time, launch month), drove home and parked in the driveway to look at it. Played with all the doors and then drove into the garage forgetting that a passenger rear door was still open. Dented it against my stone facade and started screaming so howling obscenities so loud that the neighbors ran over. New toys are dangerously distracting.

. I totally agree that the stockers are fantastic.
