You can become the very first private owner of a 2008 Audi R8 in the United States while benefiting the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

On Sunday February 25, 2007 this Audi R8 will be auctioned live during the annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party. Even if you cannot attend the event, you can participate in this auction "live" online, by proxy or by telephone. All proceeds from the auction of the R8 will go to benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation and its vital work in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

That's immediately what I thought, but surely you have to...deduct... some of your deduction for the car's value....right?

you can deduct the amount over and above the cost of the car. the donor of the car will assume the deduction of its fair market value.
