Announcement - another North NJ get together

As a result of our ad hoc get together a few weeks ago at the Starbucks in Paramus, a number of us thought it might be fun to do this again. Many great cars and great people showed up and new friends were made.

I approached Jack Daniels and they are excited to host us at their facility (the large service facility, not the little showroom). Things are in the planning stage, but we are talking about having a variety of experts on site in detailing, getting more power from your turbos (without losing the warranty), they are going to set up hand car wash stations where we can wash/wax are cars under the careful eye of the detail guy. And they are going to bring in food. They are going to have their lead service technician (Walter) there to answer questions, etc. (I mentioned "no sales pressure" since one or two you mentioned a concern about having this at a dealership - it won't be a problem).

Can you please let me know if you are interested, since I'm trying to give them an idea of how many of us will show up. It will be on a Saturday morning in late April or early May.

Are you interested and what Saturday works for you?

You can respond here, or to my e-mail: photonscience@aol.com

Alan

Here are the pics from todays meet.

I think this would be a great idea to do it at Jack Daniels, actually their service shop etc just down the road has a massive parking lot and it would be great. I'll also happily do all the photography of all the cars etc.

To get a massive outcome I think we should schedule it in a few weeks (2-3 weeks) to ensure everyone in the area sees the thread and is aware.

Sounds like a great idea - only if open to non-turbos as well

My 997TT was on the Hoegh Trinity (which afaik landed in Baltimore today - cant find any internet schedule for this ship), which should mean it will be at my dealer in the next week or so. I'm in Amsterdam until the 29th so hopefully the car gets in just after I get back in town.

Count me in for the next meet.

Alan...I really think this will be an amazing get together. I am lousy at washing/detailing my car...I could use all the pointers I can get...especially for the lazy guys like me.

With regard to the power...from what I understand it's a 50-75 HP gain with no warranty issues for about $1500...maybe a group buy???????

Larry was the one banned for trying to save people money on the ipod link thing...crazy story...finally someone trying to save people money with nothing to gain from it and he gets banned for it. I know that this board has sponsors but that's nuts.
