For G-wagon owners/modders out there

So I saw the '07 G55 at the dealer and noticed the new Bi-Xenon lights. Was wondering if any brave souls on this board know of a DIY or have tried a retrofit for the older Gs.

I have a '05 G55, and I'm sure you all agree with me that the old lights need some help.

Would be very interested in anyone knows how to do this. Thanks!

ask the dealer, one said they have a module to retro-fit the older ones, but when i went to parts they said no, so still looking as well!

From what I understand this is not an easy or inexpensive mod. This requires the light kit, new fenders and respray. And if that's not enough the labor hours will surely make you reconsider the project.

Heh, I saw that car outside of PCL in Scotsdale late last year, it definately stood out, but I don't know if I could drive a G-class in that color...

Yes it is, but the G55 makes up for it. Suprisingly the regular old bulbs are not that bad, you want to talk about bad lights sheehs the older Audi's lights had no more power than lanterns. As did much of the older 90's cars to be exact, you know DOT and the you cant blinf oncoming traffic etc.

Yea, its funny how some high end cars didnt have nice headlights up until a few years ago - or just this year.

My sisters 2007 Yukon Denali doesnt even have HID's! But my Evo does!

Doesnt make sense???

Nope, it doesnt. My 02 Denali didnt have the xenons, I ended up buying aftermarket assemblies which were decent but not true blue xenons.
