Short shifter? Satellite Radio?
So what short shifter is the best? Is the B&M the same as the Porsche one? Do both have problems going into 2nd gear. Also what are some options in regards satellite radio? Salesman @ Porsche mentioned something about taking the module from the Cayenne? Thanks in advance.

Love my OEM SS. Also got the Cayenne EX module from Stephen at Imagine Auto (PorschePHD) and am very happy with it. Totally seamless integration. Don't know why Porsche doesn't offer it as an option,

Go for the OEM short shifter, the B&M might be a bit notchy for some. The B&M on my 997S was a blast to drive though. My service rep gave me a bad time with warranty issues and the B&M so I installed the Porsche OEM short shifter and the throws were longer, almost felt like the stock unit in comparison. I still have the B&M packed away in the box.....just in case.

kush, is that the cayenne module you bought and they installed for you? I am the same way as i have had xm in my audi and sirius in my Range Rover and love the music. Dont have time to upload to ipod etc. Thanks again for all the replies guys.

Yes, I heard the same thing. Funny, bc BM is back as the oem ssk maker after a one yr hiatus (they dumped the asian company). If I had a TT with a stock shifter, I would wait until the new BM unit is out, or just get the oem ssk and be done with it, so's not to have any warranty issues on a 140k car, afterall the price delta is only a few hundred bucks.
Just to be perfectly clear, the BM unit is excellent and fits all 996 and non- TT/GT 997's.. It will NOT work properly in a new TT without modification, nor will the 996 era oem ssk.
