CL 65 or CLS 55?
CL 65 or CLS 55?
I'm torn between these two cars. I love the looks of the CLS, but I love engine in the CL (although the CL still looks nice).
Used ones are between $15k of one another so I'm really torn. What do you guys think?

When I got rid of my CL55, I condered the CLS55, and it was VERY cramped. CL65's are in the high 70's now. That is a lot of car for the money. The CLS will outhandle the CL, but the CL is just so comfortable and handles well for a car that size. Besides my GT, my former CL was my favorite car I ever owned. I had it for 3.5 years, which is an eternity for me.

2 very different cars with different powerplants. The CLS doesnt know what it wants to be and the CL is the last classic mercedes design IMO. Im not sure your intentions with the car, i assume a daily driver but if you do plan to mod the 65 is the better bang-per-buck in the mod department. I personally shy away from the 55 Kompressor motors because of their inconsistencies on power relative to cooling issues. hope this helps!
Drive a Renntech'd 65 Scott, you will be sold
BTW the SL65 would be my choice, sure a bit more money but the handling would shock the **** out of you!

CL65!!!!!
I may be young but I have experience with both and I've driven them extensively. The CL65 is in a different class compared with the CLS55. The CL65 is more luxurious, much faster, looks better in my opinion, and people bow down to that V12-BiTurbo badge. haha.
Go with the CL!!!!!!!!!
.or better yet, an SL65!

Okay...you guys sold me on the CL over the CLS. Thank for the info.
Now I just need to decide between a CL, 996 GT3, or Aston Martin Vantage.
(as a second car to my 996TT)

GT3 for weekend fun. I have been told it is too raw for a DD, and a little underpowered. You already have a TT, so I think you will get bored with the GT3, unless it is a track car.
The Vantage is a very nice looking car, and high on my list, but it is still underpowered. I think you would get tired of it quick.
Personally, I would go with a GT3 because I have my DD's already. I would not consider it if I still had my turbo though.
OH might I add my 2 cents again...dont forget about the lowly 600's now. Rumor is there is a specific 600 runnin around putting up et's and trap speeds greater than some RennTech'ed 65's
You want to talk about bang for your buck....

Scott, the AM has the sexiness over the other ones for sure AFAIC. I love the P cars but the AM are damn gorgeous and that sound they make is pure sex for a GT coupe. Rocman is correct they are not superfast cars but you already have one of those, whereas the CL65 will run with the big dogs.
The GT3 is an awesome car, I dont think you would be happy with it as a DD, you have the Porsche TT and after sitting in that you would feel like its been castrated.
I hope we are making this easy for you, LOL !
