Some friends of mine were running this year at the One lap of America, They are Porsche Audi guys, but were running a red RX-8 as it made the most sense to use it. So I spent a little time with them, helped them pack, and took some shots.

Here are the pics I snapped off, Been a long time since I had done any motorsports photography. I love doing it, but don't have the time like I used to when I'd help pit crew. It was nice to shake off the rust and get a some decent shots.

Very nice photography! What camera, setting and lens were you useing?

 

Thanks, I shoot with a nikon D70s, and an 80-200 2.8, and no tripod. I was running Aperture Priority right around F11 to F16 to keep the shutter speed in the nice motion blur range. There were only 2 locations to shoot with a bunch of specators limiting my shot selection a little bit.
