That Looks Horrible..

Why would you get fake HRE wheels on an SL55.. People are crazy.

BTW. the lip should have been a LOT bigger in the rear. He shoould put the stocks back on, the car lost its class.

someone drank hatorade this morning j/k

HRE has some benefits (edited) to IForged, but not everyone has the dough to drop on them. That is the Precision Series Daytona Wheel. Picture is hard to tell but has a 4 inch lip in the rear and a 2.75 inch lip up front.

Thanks!

You know I don't think I agree with that at all. What makes HRE 'far superior' to Iforged, CCW, or any other billet wheel? They are all forged then cnc cut, and in many cases use the same blank slugs and hoops.

HRE is killer at brand imaging, demanding an insane premium for a precieved quality, and spend a fortune on marketing to back it all up. But in the end if you put a $10k HRE next to a $4k CCW I would bet an engineer wouldn't find a legitimate quality/strength difference between the two.

That $$ buys you a fancy name, and a company that won't even stand behind it's product if/when you have issues. Sounds great to me.

I concur. Heard just as many horror stories about HRE's as I have with iForge. One just ends up on exotics more often then the other.

Besides that, I think the wheels look pretty slick on that SL55, and guarunteed 99.9% of people are going to be able to tell the difference between them and HRE's, if branding is that big of a deal to you.

Ok the far superior was general. However there is definitely technical machining processes and use of components that do make HRE a tad bit nicer. I have seen them side by side and spoken to the boys at HRE about it. HRE I believe does alot of their manf in house so they have great quality control. Yes you pay more for a brand.

I myself have had 3 sets of IForged on personal cars. Cant beat the price and they look good.

Manny I think it is stock ride. Those are 19's i think. 20's would look good but be tanks on that speedy car.

If IForged wasn't mentioned on the thread title, I would assumed they were HRE 841s.

You can say the same about Buying Oakleys compared to Channels.

I can tell you from experience we have never had a issue with HRE. Either way the topic is this SL55. So if you like it, cool, if you dont cool. We were just sharing some images for everyone!

Looks hideous without lowering.....crummy taste from the owner but my 2 cents! You have moola for a SL55 but can't afford rims? gimme a break....

Do it right or leave it stock!

Wheels look good. Car needs to be lowered. Iforged products are fine. Might not have the cred of HRE, but they make a good product at a fair price. I had them on two vehicles with no issues.

I love the SL55. And iForged are not cheap or poser wheels. I think that one would look great with a lowering.
