New car for the wife

Just picked up a SLK55 AMG. Silver and loaded. She had a E500, the lease was up and she wanted something "sporty". I think this gets that done.

very nice car, I lose the exhaust tone it gives, make sure not to get stuck putting the top down in a red light

Love the little SLKs. The standard version is pretty fast, can't imagine what the AMG version is like!

AUDIHenry,

5.5 Liter 355HP V8. It is pretty quick. I also love the exhaust note.

Now for mods? Any suggestions?

Here is what I have done on W210 E55 and W203 C55 which share this engine with SLK55:

1. Green or K&N air filters
2. Evosport Underdrive Pulleys
3. Powerchip software

This package will typically add around 20-25 RWHP, raising RWHP from low280s to low310s.

Kleemann Kompressor kit will raise to low410s at the wheels.

I tried attaching a dyno graph, but I am getting database error massage.

Vadim any thoughts on the Pulley does it actually add hp? as I've heared its just marketing and wouldnt do any difference.

Otto congradulations to you and to your wife. I hope you enjoy it and drive it safely.

Regarding modifications you just need to hear my SLK55 after the exhaust system it just sounds very mean and brutal.

It is about 5-10HP at the wheels. I developed them for evosport, when I was part owner.

Depends on how much you're willing to spend. I recommend the Kleemann supercharger. I have it on my CLK55 and love it! I also have alot of other stuff too but letting us know approximately how much you want to spend would help

I think anything exhaust wise is probably out. She won’t want more “noise”. More power, now that is another story.

Do any of you guys who are making these recommendations, sell these mod’s or have contacts that do?

How is the electronic upgrades accomplished? Do I need to ship out my ECU like in my 996tt? I don’t think there are many choices in Albuquerque for M/B tuners…LOL

Thanks,

Will any of these mods - or any mods, for that matter - void the warranty one the car?
