he said it had 670 hp...the guy looked to be in his 30's and was heading towards the stock exchange/money district.

 

the 'S' body style is much sexier than the 'CL'...especially a black S65.

It wasnt me - hehe! Im in Vegas! So tell us about the run (s) - you said he was keeping up with you - what speed did you run up to. Having a Renntech S65 I can tell ya that my car is a monster once its over 100mph - thats where I pull away from 997TT's etc... How did u do?

He wasn't keeping up, I pulled him. We only had one clean run and I was walking away pretty quickly. I'd say from 40-100 I pulled 3-4 cars with him hitting it first, but he was 2 cars back when he hit it, I didn't go till he was at my door.

the other runs were us just romping on it, never side by side, but I was pulling every time...

I wasn't on my game though, I just woke up about 30 minutes before and I wasn't powershifting, matter of fact I was so out of it that I hit the rev limiter a couple times (which I NEVER do).

The only addition to my car that is not in my sig are long tube headers, catted 3" x pipe and 3" catback. Probably good for another 2-4 mph in the 1/4 mile.

With your 553rwhp Id expect it to be pretty close and I can see you pulling on the S65 BUT I think if you got to race above 100mph he woulda reeled you back in and passed you. I dont know about his car but mine with Renntech is good for 700hp & 850tq which at the higher speeds is hard to beat even with the heft. You are in the same ballpark with hp but dont come close on torque though you weigh about 3800-3900 vs. 5100. I also wonder if that guy racing you was doing it with his Traction Control on - if so then everytime he broke tires loose it would have kicked in and in the Benz it is a serious boner killer! I would have expected a closer race.
