Some guy just stopped at my office and says he's got a special edition E63 that comes stock with 700hp from the factory - he says only 100 made! What is this? Or is the guy full of it? Never heard of that!!

Sound to me like he's full of it. Could be wrong though.

 

At first I was thinking it was the Black Series for the E63 (though I heard thats just the CLK) but thats still a 507hp and like 630tq pkg - so I think hes smoking something!

 

Check the transmission. If it's the 7-speed automatic, he's blowing smoke. If it's something different, maybe he has something special.

 

um i highly doubt it, unless he custom ordered an amg tuned one.

I heard a rumor that the 63 engine would eventually get a supercharger or turbos and push 700hp, but it was a few years off. I was at the Benz dealership on Saturday and I am sure my salesman would have been talking my ear off about it if it were true.

 

im sure his dealer pumped him full... or he is just full of it. If mercedes were to choose a 6.3 to upgrade their last choice would be the E-series...

 

I seriously doubt you can get 700hp from that engine without some FI.

and as mentioned earlier we already know the 7 speed tranny wont hold that kind of hp/torque.
