Video: M5 vs 997 Turbo

Hello Everyone,

Had the opportunity to run my M5 against a new 997 Turbo. The results were shocking and I felt bad for the Porsche owner (who's name I'll leave out of this for now as I know he'll be banned after posting this video). We did a few runs and here's two of them.

This first run I launched hard and, well, you'll see the results:

In this second run, I missed a gear and, well, you can see what happened:

Enjoy,

Darren

Oak,

Actually I just flipped the description of the videos a little .

In the first video the 997 drive miss shifted which hurt him.

In the second video you can see the true results. The 997 Turbo left me good. I only posted the description above to get a rise out of my friends in the 997 who have been pinging me all night to post the darn videos. That car was an absolute beast!

Great runs today guys.

Regards,

Darren

Seems to happen quite a bit. I wish Porsche would offer the DSG already.

Thanks for posting Darren! First run I was beeping the horn and did not grab the gear fast enough.

It was a fun day of running the toys! We ran a few test runs at the airstrip and it should be a sweet day of playing with the toys...

Thanks for running your sweet M5 all day Darren!

You saw wrong man. At no point in time did the M5 have a lead on the TT even from 0 to 10..

After driving a 997TT two seperate times now, I can tell you for a fact that lag is essentially non-existant.
