The latest iteration of our flagship AMG V-12 coupe will launch with a special, limited-production CL65 AMG 40th Anniversary Edition.

As the most exclusive AMG vehicle yet imported into the United States, only 20 units will be offered for sales in this market from 40 units total Worldwide production.

This landmark vehicle commemorates the 40 year anniversary of AMG, founded in 1967. Based on the 2008 CL Coupe, the CL65 AMG 40th Anniversary Edition has all of the features that you would expect in a true performance GT.

Several unique features, specific to the 40th Anniversary Edition, underscore the exclusivity of this model.

• Liquid Metal Paint - Developed by AMG, and unique to this limited series, Liquid Metal paint reflects light more evenly and intensely than traditional paints due to its special micro paint particles measuring 50 nanometers which are four times smaller than traditional metallic paints.

it looks very nice with the additional carbon fiber parts that distinguishes it from a 63 amg. Definatley a collectors edition, mercedes seems to make some nice limited edition models as i really like what they did with the dlr by producing a 722 and the last sl600 r129s with the silver arrow anniversary.

The silver arrows had that cool engine turned gauge cluster trim.

 

$295,000 wow! what are they thinking? don't get me wrong it's a sick car but the S65 is more than 100k cheaper. wonder how they get to 295k...

 

I liked the attention to detail from the silver paint,panaromic roof and the two tone black/light grey interior.

 

the CL is a nice car, but i'm pretty sure most would go for the S65 for $100k less...(if the $290k price tag turns out to be true)

 

That price tag is ONLY for the 40th anni. model, due to limited production numbers. The regular CL65 will still be around the same as the S.

 

Man you sure pay alot of money for some stitching and extra badges. Oh I forgot about the carbon fiber interior.

Nothing I see in that list that justifies the $295 price.

 

Sounds like an amazing car, but $295k??? No freakin WAY! The 65's are already over priced! This one sounds like it might be worth an extra $10k - $20k to me.
