quicksilver has never backed up their hp claims with a dyno. On the amoc site, db9 thread, there is alot of quicksilver owners who complain about resonance. You might want to check out miltek, and larini as well

Ordered some springs from RSC this morning. I'll post photos and review when they are installed.

I'm adding a number 4 to the list (or a new number two).

Brake pads. Any suggestions?

The stock pads give up after a couple laps and mine are pretty much toast. Should I have two sets (track and street) or go with something like a Pagid RS4-2 that can do dual duty? Anyone with any experience here?

Actually I would think the best exhaust would be The Gruppe M Exhaust Made of Titanium.

Update:

Springs arrived today, installing them on Tuesday with some custom aligning.

Exhaust valve is open but thinking I might do new cats and lighter exhaust. Larini or Quicksilver...???

RSC and Paramount Performance both do the "send in your ECU to reflash" tuning but am looking into a custom tune by someone local. Any thoughts/opinions as to which route to take?

How good is your local guy - the AM V8V is a combo box - totally weird and not like a P-car/BMW/Audi type set up (Bosch mainly). I was told a mix of Ford/Bosch/other (Moto chips?) ... my guy is a wiz w/ Bosch (his P-car work is excellent) and honestly did do some work but it did not make much of a "seat of the pants" difference (and I sent it to EU to find this out!). I have not posted much of this because his work was installed w/ stock cats and stock (open) exhaust - again I just felt a tiny bit of a change - and he said it was not his expertise. The RSC mods are a much bigger change - but then again this was the ECU/Cats/Exhaust all done together. Quantitatively a big difference but not apples to apples comparison. Not sure this helps ...

I just looked back at my original postings on this thread - my how I have learned a few things and made changes on my car! I won't repeat it all... I do like the full RSC kit as it was all tuned to play together. My springs go on next week ...

Springs are on. I drove home at rush hour last night so I guess I need to wait to give a real opinion. Looks good though.

A little more "around town" driving time (no real cornering) and initial impressions:
Feels a little "darty" but that may be due to more aggressive alignment my shop put on
There is more road feel through the wheel
The car seems to "pogo" a bit over bumps and feels a little less damp

Overall I'm thinking they may be a bit soft and that I might need to upgrade the dampers. I have a track day scheduled Monday so I'll report back.

Dont forget it takes a little while for the springs and shocks to settle in and feel right...

Thanks Envy. Things went pretty well at the track today so maybe they are settling. The rebound still seems a little off.

stearnsn - I have my springs installed and played at the track (Sebring) last week end. I have the same slight "po go" effect too. Not on the track but on the back roads getting there - going over a dip in road. Talked w/ HZ and he says he does not have the effect but he also put on 20" wheels (360 I think). i still have the stock 19s. Handling was OK at the track - coil overs and adjustable sway bars would be much better !!!

Michael,

I just spoke to someone at H&R and he was surprised we were having a problem. He said their springs were designed to work well with factory shocks and that they have sold several sets without any negative reports. Perhaps the "custom" configuration from RSZ that may have been designed with larger wheels is the issue...

I am considering buying a set of "regular" H&R springs to try. Too bad the install is more than the springs.
