Good Price For A 2006 Vantage
Since there doesn't seem to be a readily available "blue book" for the Vantage, what is a good price for a low mileage 2006 Vantage with a good options list. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I bought my 2006 Vantage for $89k with 8k miles from a private owner a few months ago. It had the following options:
- 19" wheels
- Premium sound system (700w)
- HID lamps with Powerwash

$89k is the lowest I have seen an actual buyer publish here on 6-speed ... if you think about that price vs new, only 2 years old, low mileage, great condition, and still a factory warranty ... one heck of a deal ... makes me wish I could have been more patient !!! Even if you then go out and put a RSC mod kit in the car, custom wheels, whatever... you are still way ahead of the price in 2006.

Sure, cars were available at that price, but they all had various combinations of the following issues: In the condition of a "normal" used car. Base cars with no options. Or, and this was the most common issue: "unfortunate" color combinations. It took $101k (cash to a private seller) to buy the right car... and I looked at a lot of cars.
Whatever you're told here... add 5% - 10% to it, if you plan to find a car you'll actually consider buying.

I'd expect to pay $90K to $95K. I searched for one exactly a year ago, and was told [on this forum] that $95 would buy any used V8V on Earth. That simply wasn't the case; period.

Exactly, Michael. I knew if I just did some shopping around I would find a beautiful car at a decent price. It didn't have all of the options I wanted but when the private owner pulled the car up and I saw it for the first time in front of me, I was sold!
It's been almost six months now and I'm still honeymooning with it. By the way, I define honeymooning as anxiously awaiting every Saturday morning to get up and detail your car, yourself, until it is spotless.

And your options are just right ... the GPS screen is to hard to read ... and the rest ... who cares - I have 'em and don't use 'em - heck I can't even remember them ... but the stereo is really good, now that option is worth the bump ... one of the best factory stereo upgrades I have heard

I agree with Michael about the stereo, it is really good and really increases the enjoyment of driving the car. Cruse control is an option and is nice for long trips. Park sensors look kind of crappy but the corners are hard to gauge on this car so you might want them.

Wow, that seems really cheap. Maybe it is not well optioned or a strange color combo. Before I purchased mine a few weeks ago I saw 2 factory buy-backs, with salvage title, for $80k. I wouldn't touch it as the savings wasn't worth it. $73k seems really cheap as retail is so much higher. I don't care much though as I love my car!
