2008 DB9 question...

Hello everyone I am new to the forum and just wanted to say hello to all of the knowledgeable enthusiasts on this board.
I am in the market for a DB9 coupe and I was wondering if there was any significant price difference between a New 2008 DB9 coupe and a New 2009 DB9 coupe. Additionally I would also be interested a slightly used 2008 DB9 say something with less than 1000 miles on it if the price were right. What do you guys think these would be going for in today's market? Lastly what kinds of discounts are AM dealerships offering on these cars?
Thank You in advance for taking the time to read my post any responses would be greatly appreciated.

I bought a 2008 coupe 6-speed manual and sports pack not long ago. While the 09 differences would have been nice, not to the tune of the $40,000 more it would have cost. Finding an 08 coupe auto shouldn't be too hard, use autotrader & dupont online. I also used Aston's dealer locator to search each dealers inventory and this was time consuming. You should get about $50,000 off sticker on 2008 at this point on a new one, which is hard to beat.

Thank you all for the replies. I didn't realize that the 08's would be so dramatically discounted. I had contacted an Aston Martin dealership in south Florida and they were willing to do 5,000 off sticker. I guess that wasn't a very good deal.

Talk to Brian at Aston Long Island, who also accesses Miller in CT and Steve at Ray Catena in NJ to see what they have if anything.

Hey guys thanks again for all of the great advice I really appreciate all of your help. I just wanted to update you all on my search for an 08 aston DB9. So I finally found a black black car in Tampa and about 2 months ago they were willing to do 40k off MSRP. Unfortunately the day I visited them they couldnt put the deal together because the manager wasnt in the store. They asked me to come in the following monday. I however could not do that because I had a business trip planned to Dubai that week. I did however let them know that I would keep in touch and try to work the deal while I was overseas. I called Moday spoke to the manager and he said that 40k off was not possible and the most he could do was 20k. The MSRP on the car was 181k. I stuck to my guns and said that I couldnt pay a penny more than 140k for an 08 DB9. He said he couldnt do it and we left it at that. Now my trip ran a bit longer than I had anticipated and when I returned staeside a week ago I started my search again. Now it has been 2 months and the car is still sitting at the dealership in Tampa. I called them up again and made the offer of 140k again. This time he says hes willing to do it at 155k. Do you guys this this is a good price or are they just playing games with me hoping I will cave. They said that there is another dealership that wants the car and that if I wont do it at 155 the car willbe sent away. What do you all think I should do? It has been a few days since I made my 140k offer and they havent called to try and push the deal any further. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

I think your goal of 40-off is more than realistic in this market. I'll qualify that with there may not be a lot of "new" 2008 DB9's around, depending upon what you're after, i.e. coupe vs. cab, auto vs. stick. If the car they have is exactly what you want and there's not another similar to be had, then make one last offer to split the difference. I know for a fact they can sell it at 140 but do they want to. It's always a slippery slope in trying to get the best deal vs. losing the car. I've gotten many good to great deals and buy once I'm comfortable with the number. There's always somebody out there telling you that you could/can/should do better. Listen to yourself first and foremost ...

I saw this car in the showroom...beautiful. $129K is the asking price on the floor, and I'm sure you can get it for less if you go there.

Crap - I paid about that for my new Vantage in '07. I guess the difference w/ this and one in Tampa is used (4K miles) vs. new? Like an extra year of Warrenty .but I am sure you could buy that for less than $26K?
