Quick video of the new exhaust
Adam,
The cats are OEM. According to the service records the previous owner had special cats installed and the car did not like it. Therefore they were replaced with originals.
?
HZ is totally correct on correcting me ! The exhaust I finally went with was the RSC new product - credit should be given no doubt
. BTW I also purchsed my springs and cats from HZ. With the 200 cell cats the "quiet" RSC exhaust is just right ... to call it quiet is kinda a oxy-phrase though - still much more than stock ... good solid sound. The other 2 versions (QS), when combined w/ 200 cats were just too loud in my opinion.

I have installed both tubi and Quicksilver exhausts and both sound good. The Tubi has a lower tone but is pretty loud when the motor is reved up and the weight difference from stock must be 40 pounds. The regular QS is the same as if you where to disable the by-pass valves of a stock unit. The QS super sport is the loudest and can get quite anoying on a long drive. And if you really want to **** everyone off in your neiborhood and be pulled over all the time put a set of low cell cat's like the RSC Vantage... sounds friken wicked but be prepared.
Is the quiet version of the Quicksilver really that close to the fuse 22 pull or vacuum line pull? I was hoping it would be louder.
Maybe the middle version is the way to go???? Anyone in Chicago have a Quicksilver or Tubi installed? I would love to hear it.Thanks,
Adam

Hi Guys
There’s a bit of confusion around, so here’s a quick note on our sound choices for Aston Martin exhausts:
Notes on the Sounds:-
Sports – More volume at the top end with a greater variation in pitch from deep to high – especially on the V12. This is the most popular choice on the DB9 but V8 owners generally want more.
SuperSports - A proper deep muscle-car sound at low revs rising to Le Mans higher up - OK around town & on the highway but pretty loud at the top end. This is most popular on the V8, manual DB9 and DBS
SuperSports + - Very loud – a great sound for early morning fun. Turns the V8 into a weapon. Our favorite system.

I'm happy with the "Sports" on my manual DB9. Guess I couls have done a bit more research, but I'm liking it a lot so far.
