Question Prices for slightly used 06,07 Vantages?

Anyone have a website or solid data indicating what these cars could be attained for with some light negotiating?

That is a pretty cool site yankee.

Song,

I have an 07 7.7k miles Tungsten Silver/black Sportshift with Quicksilver exhaust, K-40 radar, clear bra covering 30% and ipod for $80k out the door. That is a $5k upgrade to an allready full factory optioned vehicle.

That's 15-20k over what the cars are bringing at auction. I have a local seller at $65k.

I looked at auction prices on the webpage you submitted. Auction price for an above average Aston with 6,600 miles sold for $78,181. Estimated retail: $84,000. Not sure what are you implying, and please don't compare auction sale prices with a personal sale... I am not a dealer, just trying to sell my car Oh, good luck finding an 07 Aston V8V for $65k.

The price range on these cars is very elastic depending upon market and more often the seller. I've seen many sell for 60-70k. Last spring there was an '07 yellow droptop ss that went for $69k on eBay. I also am in the fortunate position to have a dealer who will buy at auction for me. Good luck with your sale.

I bought it from a Ferrari dealership - a guy had traded it in and they were looking to get it off the lot ASAP. I came in and offered well below 60, they came in at a higher price (but still below 60). I agreed to the price and asked for new tires and brakes, and they agreed - I think my all in cost was in low to mid 50's when it was all said and done....

An 06 for $65k sounds like a fair price. But an 07 for under $60k with new tires and brakes? Give me a break. We are all intelligent, well educated people on this forum... Don't matter if it was a Ferrari dealer or Ford, no dealer will sell for $20k below market price. At the same time I would assume that no Aston owner in his right mind would let his car go for high $50s as a trade in.

Not saying this is the case here, but if the car had been wrecked, or was titled as "lemon" buyback, I feel that price would be about right. -- How much of a discount would it take for you to purchase such a car? I wouldn't buy one, even if priced in the $50s. There is no reason the car couldn't be enjoyed just like an "untainted" one. Yet, I'd always have an uneasy feeling way in the back of my mind.

I stopped caring about the depreciation of mine long ago. Instead, I focus on what a great little car the Vantage is. They're so fun, aren't they?
