OEM wheel weights
Anyone know the weights of the OEM 7-spoke wheels and the "lightweight" 5-spoke wheels for the Vantage? I think someone posted these before, but I haven't been able to find the post. Thanks.
thinkin bout upgradin to those lightweight wheels?
i just called the dealer but they havent got back to me on the price. maybe im better off not knowing.
they sure look beautiful!
i'd say the 2nd nicest wheels for the vantage - the first being the v12's optional diamond turned wheels..

I'd like to lose some weight (on the car) plus the lightweight wheels look great. I saw another Vantage parked in the same parking lot as mine the other day (first other Vantage I've seen in person since buying the car barring the dealership's) and it looked spectacular with the new wheels. Also considering aftermarket wheels, like the HREs that others have mentioned.
i think finding nice wheels for the v8v is tough *i know it's a matter of taste*. But i think the car is so clean and uncluttered that the wheels have to match
is it true that those sport pack wheels are made out of a magnesium alloy of some sort?

No idea on the materials. Hoping someone with the knowledge can enlighten us . . . .
The standard OE Vantage wheels are 32lbs each. Don't know about Aston's lightweight wheels but I would guess about 26 or 27lbs. Our Taglios are 23lbs in 20".

AM of Atlanta told me that the OEM wheel weights are:
7-spoke 19":
Front - 10.7 kg (23.6 lbs)
Rear - 11.6 kg (25.6 lbs)
5-spoke 19":
Front - 9.83 kg (21.7 lbs)
Rear - 10.88 kg (23.9 lbs)
If these numbers are right, the 7-spoke wheels are much lighter than I originally thought. Stuart: did you weigh the 7-spokes yourself? If not, where did you get the 32 lb figure?
Quoted price for the 5-spoke wheels was $4,959/set.

I have (i. e. my car has) the 5 spoke wheels. But mind you!!! You wouldn't believe how difficult it is to keep them clean. In fact there are 5 double spokes and the space between the two parts of a double spoke is so narrow that you need a tooth brush to clean them. Takes about 10 mins each wheel, even if their are not really dirty!
I should have an answer on this one next week. My stock wheels are coming off and I'm having them weighed. I had heard the 32 lbs figure for stock rear wheels as well, and I know the stock tires weigh 32 lbs rear and 26 lbs front. I'd be really surprised if the wheels are only 25.6 lbs rear and 23.6 lbs front considering that they are cast, but we will see.
For comparison, I know for a fact that the Prodrive wheel/tire set weighs 5.5 lbs less at EACH corner vs. stock despite being wider (22 lbs total), and the stock wheels/tires on the V12 Vantage weigh 11 lbs less total vs. the stock 19s on the V8, despite being 19x9 F and 19x11 R with wider rubber.
Both of those seem to support the heavier 32 lb wheel weight for the stockers...guess we'll see.

For reference our 20" RSC Taglios are 23lbs on the rear, and just a few ounces lighter on the front.
That's very light...23 lbs for 20's is very good. They must be forged I'm guessing to get the weight that low. Are those 20x9.5? What are the weights for 19x9 and 19x11 wheels?
I don't know weights for 19's we've only every done them in 20".
That's amazingly light for such large wheels...interestingly about the same weight as a similar sized HRE carbon series wheel with a carbon rim. How can the 20x8.5 weigh the same as the 20x11? Wouldn't the difference in rim width make it weigh a good 5 lbs less?
