Aston Martin Works Carbon splitter/diffuser
Has anyone seen these? I just stumbled across them yesterday on the website but have never seen them in in real life.

Interesting. I never saw these "works" items on the Aston site before, and I visit the site often. The splitter and diffuser look similar to those from RSC. Too bad they don't have close-up pictures on the Aston site.
Another works item that I wouldn't mind having is the rear camera. It's just so difficult to see behind you when you're backing up.

Some info:
The splitter/diffuser should be available here in the U.S. in a couple of weeks and the cost, according to my local dealer, is $3,855 for the set. I assume both parts are easy to install yourself.
As for the back-up camera, it appears to be an Aston Works-only option, which means the car has to be in England for installation.

Got an email from one of the AM parts guys today with some bigger versions of those pics. The rear diffuser looks really nice, like the mesh bit a lot. I'm obviously biased but not sure I would pay $2000.00 more for that than some of the existing offerings out there. Front splitter not so hot on, looks too small to make much of a visual impact, but as always these things always look much different when you get the full effect from a broader view.

I agree the front lip on the AM kit is a bit small, but it does seem a bit more integrated. The mesh on the AM kit rear diffuser is nice, but I actually prefer your design on the rear. Prodrive makes a really nice front splitter...probably the best one I've seen.

Both the AM kit and the RSC kit are nice. I'm not sure about there being a $2000 difference, though. The AM kit list for $3855, so I'd imagine that could be had for less, and your kit lists for about $3000 on your website.

I think we would be up for a 10-up group buy on the front splitter & rear diffuser. Let me know if you are interested guys and if it seems like there's enough we'll get some prices together.

Hi
I've just fitted a diffuser and splitter for my vantage and have side skirts to add next. I've attached photos, what do people think?
These are not original AM pieces but in my opinion are better styled and don't come with the AM price tags.
The prices for the original AM parts and other production companies are still phenomenal, my diffuser cost £749 and the splitter was £400. They are produced from carbon fibre but finished in satin black. The side skirts haven't arrived yet but I paid £699 for those and I think that's a fair price.
Let me know your thoughts on the style.

How much more does it cost to have the parts finished in gloss over the natural weave?
I'm guessing that would add a fare bit to the price?
The problem with satin black is that no one knows they are CF...they might as well be fiberglass.

the AM site is pretty old (original post was in 2009), but i do remember seeing it. laurie's rear diffuser looks a bit similar to the AM Works piece.
from what i've seen on various parts and from different companies, clear coats that add UV protection usually adds about $150-300 to the price, but could be more depending on markup.

Its a great price, but not too sure about the rear diffuser, it doesn't seem to be a great fit. Is that the diffuser or could it just be the way its fitted?

Are you sure they are carbon fibre painted over in satin black. It just doesnt make sense to make carbon fibre only to paint over it. You may as well produce a much cheaper plastic part and paint it satin black for 1/6 of the cost with ever so slight increase in weight.
