DSC disabled needs maintenance... I made it exactly one week! I hope this isn't a taste of things to come.... Its still under warranty, but wondering if this is something I can reset myself??

Thanks

Interesting, you seem to be going through everything I went through.

I had that too, went away after 2 panic restarts at the side of the road. Drove home carefully, haven't seen it since.

Dealer has since scanned it, nothing wrong.

I would get this error message frequently upon vehicle start up and in my case the cause was operator error. I was starting the car before allowing the vehicle to perform its electrical system check. All I needed to do was to turn the key to the first position and wait for the cycle to complete and then press the start button.

at the same time I do feel there're too many discussions on this forum discussing what's going wrong, and too few about taking corners in the mountains roads with a beautiful passenger. :P

I agree 100%, can't wait for the weather to clear up so I can drive the car harder. Brace yourselves for more naive questions from the rook....

You know how it is . . . the only "news" is bad news. I for one am glad to hear about every little issue that others have encountered so I'll be ready if I encounter the same issue. I really appreciate this key info, which you just can't get anywhere else.

On a more positive note, I'll throw out that, at the 6-month mark with the car, I am one very happy owner. I've had a few very minor issues (creaks, loose molding, sticking gas flap), but they all melt away when I go for a nice long drive on a pretty day like I did last weekend. The car always puts a smile on my face, and the faces of most people I run into with the car (didn't mean that in a literal sense!). Driving the car is like an event. I haven't experienced anything like it with any other car I've owned.

Might as well keep it on this thread....

I was putting gas in it last night, I put the gas cap in the little hole in the arm of the gas cover lid. When I took it out, the bottom half of the white plastic stayed in the lever! I tried to put it back together, wasn't happening... So now I may need a new gas cap. comedy...

Go see Vince at the Aston Martin dealership...he will help you out. Even though this car gives me fits sometimes, I am grateful that I have someone like Vince over at Aston Martin service to help me out-do it while it is under warranty!!!

NOW, with that said, I still have my gas lid sticking. I've had to open the dang thing five times now by opening the trunk and removing that piece of the trunk to access the little loop. Make sure you know how to do that...it is probably only a matter of time before you roll into a gas station and can't get the gas lid to pop open.

There was a recall that had something to do w/ Vantage gas cap. My dealer did mine awhile back and I did not know I had a problem - thus I do not knnow what was replaced or should I say fixed - I forgot to ask the details ... might be worth a phone call to your dealer.

And the mountain roads in western North Carolina & north eastern Georgia are simply amazing in an AM !!!
