This top gear review of the Vanquish S is how I also feel about the Vantage sportshift gearbox. Notice when Jeremey is driving it, how his whole body jerks and lurches. Notice when the stig takes it for a lap, the launch from stop seems to stall out and they make the comment about the clutch burning up.

So the DB9 is not this "auto-manual" like the Vanquish and Vantage are? At least with the Vantage, you have a full manual option if you want, but not in the Vanquish IIRC.
