A video of my Vantage
Thank you all for the feedback/constructive criticism. I've been uploading videos onto youtube for quite some time, with some small time editing/effects in place, but as you saw from this video, I've just been experimenting deeper in the editing world. Just a few things I've noticed:
Yea, the intro is way too long, compared to actual footage of the car but I again, just experimenting; contrast is off (should be lighter because of the dark color of the car); lower the music even more for the engine/exhaust sound; more engine sound and action shots; no one probably cares about the "power, beauty, and soul" thing but it was fun to play around with the words and do those effects; etc...
Anyway, it was a great deal of fun. Thanks again CS.
Anyone can find my channel here:

I see what looks like Floyd Bennett Field in your video? I have a stupid question to ask...I would PM you, but I need 15 posts to do that. I'm pretty sure you can PM me back a response, though.
I'm buying a V8 Vantage either at the end of this year or in March (after winter), would it be possible to meet up one of these days? I'd love to see and sit in the car in person. The Aston dealer in Roslyn isn't too savvy on letting people test drive unless they're 100% sure they're going to buy the car in the very immediate future. So I was hoping a local from NYC could give me a ride in their car (I'd sit in the passenger seat).
You can search my name (Arnold K.) on numerous forums, just so that you know I'm not a random guy - I have a 2006 350Z and a 2005 Audi A6 4.2. You can find me on My350Z.com and AudiForums.
I live in Queens, NY but also frequently in the Little Neck/Great Neck area. I really would appreciate it if I could take a look at the car and see if I'm making the right choice for myself.

Although I've made it pretty obvious that I'm no fan of the AMLI service dept, their Sales Department is a complete class act. They even let me film inside their dealership for my iPhone app Instant Supercar (www.instantsupercar.com), despite the fact I did not buy from them.
They offered me a test drive on the 2nd visit, first time was pouring rain.
I'm quite busy these few weeks, but maybe we can find a time to make it work. I'll be at the exotics rally event at Times Square the end of the month, perhaps we can meet there, LOL.

That sounds good to me. I'm also pretty drowned with work, so I too will be busy in the coming weeks. But as far as AMLI, I called and told them the same situation and the guy said he'd rather not have a test drive if I'm not looking to purchase any time very soon. I wonder if I walked in if it'd be a different situation - I sometimes live literally right behind the dealership in Roslyn Heights (when I'm at my brother's). Haha. I nearly dropped dead when I saw the first DBS roll in months ago, and the first demo Rapide with California manufacturer plates in April.

I ended up bringing my my mom to the AM dealership, LOL. Thought I'd be a good son and seek the mother's approval as she's frequently the passenger.

- Recommended over $7,000 of services for initial inspection, perhaps just because they can.
- Had to swap an O2 sensor to pass inspection. They put the car back together first, then told me that the other is almost dead too.
- Forgot to screw in the oil cap, resulted in motor oil running down onto the hose. Thank goodness I was cleaning the engine bay and saw it. $90 for the hose.
- Air intake hose wasn't tightened. Unfiltered air could have entered the engine. Again, opening the hood once a while saved me from potentially a huge disaster.
- Improper use of rotary buffer, almost threw a fit when I saw the car the next day in the sun.
- Car was in for body work, and they offered to fix my O2 sensor for free. Car came back with a dead CD changer. Blamed me for playing my burned CD instead of original CDs. (btw, if you ever plan to disconnect power, pop your CDs out, Volvo design flaw). Refused to take responsibility, wanted me to get a new CD changer.
Prices are inflated, most New York AM owners probably don't care, I do. For my next service job, I'm doing AM of Greenwich. Same owner, but the parts department has been excellent so far. Cheaper too
Wow. I was going to try Greenwich next anyway since its an easier driver than Long Island. Now I'm going to cross my fingers and hope they are decent.
My issues with the dealer here were more logistical than technical, like having a scheduled appointment and letting the car sit for 3 days without touching it. Or not calling you back, FOR THREE WEEKS. Things like that.
I wish someone could explain to me why the service at my local Chevy dealer is so much better than at these "high end" dealers.

I had all the fluids done last month by a buddy of mine, plan to stop by AM Greenwich late summer to get the dead CD changer swapped out, and install the iPod kit. That'd finally return the car to pristine condition.
