Ok, I tried the Armor All Wheel Protectant. It is a clear spray and it works great...no more brake dust....wow. I see a few small "flakes" but that's easy to brush off. I think it's a relatively new product that came in the market and it's available at any auto part store like Pep Boys or AutoZone. I am really amazed that it works so well. I think it's best to spray 2 thin coats although I sprayed one thick coat..at least I'm so glad I found a solution and no longer have to put up with dirty wheels after 10-20 miles of easy driving. Thanks to everyone who pointed me in the right direction and web links!!

Thanks - I might need a set real soon, just finished another track day yesterday with some intense braking zones.

So what's a full set of stock brakes cost anyway? I'm thinking about sealing the deal on an 06 Vantage tomorrow, but I can tell that it will need new brakes soon. Any help would be much appreciated!

Fronts usually cost more than the back. I paid $790 for the rear set from the dealer plus installation. This is in Canadian as I live in Vancouver. Best is to just call a dealers parts department and they can give you the pricing. If you are purchasing this vehicle through a dealer and the pads actually needs changing, usually they are obligated to have it changed before selling you the car. Prevents them from being sued. When I bought my mom her Lexus, the dealer did the brakes and the tires before we took delivery. This is after we have already negotiated the final sale price. I was told that they were in need of replacement and they were obligated to deliver the car that is safe on the road.

I will report back again next week after I have more miles on the car but I think the stuff works.

So what was your over all impression?

O.K. Quick update. I have now driven an additional 150 miles or so and 50 of which were in stop and go city traffic and the rest was spirited driving. The stuff really works as advertised! I am amazed! I plan to purchase more for future use. One small bit of advise is to spray on 2 thin coats as opposed to a thick coat. There are a few very small patches I missed on 2 wheels and the unprotected areas are dark brown and covered in brake dust.
