AM Power Upgrade + RSC Mods

I know there have been some posts on this subject but just wondered if there was some more recent experiences or more seat of the pants time with it. I was offered the AM Power Upgrade Kit (Intake, ECU etc.) for $2700 and wondered if anyone has experience using this with the RSC mods. Do you think it's a worthwile mod in conjunction with the RSC mods or just an expensive black intake? Any comments appreciated.

Am power upgrade? I dont know what that is...BUT if you do the Power pack from RSc for 7K, its off the hook...I stick with one tuning company unless there line up is not as extensive. RSC has plenty of parts and backing to deliver.

Sorry, should have been more clear. By AM I mean the Ason Martin kit

I have been talking to Stuart about getting the RSC done and then someone offered me this so I just wondered if anyone had experience with the Aston Martin kit along with other mods.

That's a very good price for the power kit, but I think you're still going to get more bang for your buck (although with less warranty) with the RSC kit. See previous discussions here about those two upgrades.

Who was offering the Aston Martin kit at that price? That is way below list. Was it a used kit that someone found they did not want?

I'd also like to know who's offering such a deal? Are you sure it will be factory backed? I myself just jumped on the ESC ecu tuning.. Hoping to enjoy in a few more weeks when I arrive in the states.

Very low price for AM kit - if used then you are prob. not getting the ECU tune - and yes that would be a total waiste of money. The AM kit is only installed/down load by dealer and ECU upgrade is only done by serial number (VIN) - can not do one car then another (at least that is what my dealer/mech said). To my knowledge they do not transfer to another car. The dealers do buy the kit ... so maybe an inventory clearing - but even that sounds weird ? RSC kit is nicer for the money. Doing filters and exhaust also helps ...

This is clearance from a dealer, I think he said he had three on the shelve, and he did say that I would have to provide my VIN I could ask him about how they handle the ECU. Apparently there are two different kits based upon your VIN also (a different PN for VIN's prior to 10375). I thought I could probably get him down even a bit further than the price he is offering but didn't want to bother if it's not a worthwhile mod as I planned to do the RSC pak. That seems to be the consensus here. If that's the case than I would just be paying allot for a black intake box. It would look kind of nice with the carbon fiber struts from The Vantage Collection though.
