yup my car is stock he replaced his exhaust with a sport exhaust it looks huge and heavy .i don't think it would really make a difference .

i already started moding my car but am starting with the exterior then ill start with the power.

i already installed the clear tail lamps and the AM works carbon fiber diffuser and spoiler which is amazing by the way it was so expensive it costed me 8000 usd to get them to saudi arabia .

am getting the mansory wheels the pzero trufio then ill start moding the performance .

On a track it is going to come down to the skill of the driver--my son is a talented driver and he can move his 1995 E36 around a track faster than I can get my manual Vantage. Upgrading the Vantage suspension to the sport package helped a lot, yet his car is still much nimbler around tight corners where he can gain a lot on me. On a nice long straight I can catch up to him, yet he is still faster overall. The Vantage sucks at auto-cross where the E36 will beat it by many seconds. Bang for the buck the E36 wins. My Vantage still looks far!!!! nicer and gets daily compliments, yet again it costs 4 times a much.

I agree 100% that the Aston is not designed for autocross. Almost all the autocross I've been to have the courses designed for Miatas. On the track, that's a different story. I've taken my V8 Vantage Roadster to the track several times and apart from the GT3 and GT3RS on the track with a somewhat skilled driver, the Aston has no problems with pretty much all the other cars out there including the M3's. Haven't come across a F430 driver on the track that's willing to push his car so that does not count for now.

My V8V is faster around Sebring than my previous E46M3 ... I did love the Sport button on the M3 ... great throttle response !!!

I could not agree with this more. With the suspension upgrades and a skilled driver this car can keep up with most anything. I have experienced the same with F430 drivers.....I kept gaining lap over lap but have to believe he was not pushing it 100%.....

I would think that the Carrera S would be quite a bit faster on the track. Better braking, better acceleration, and more traction out of the corner. How does the AM keep up?

Haven't come across a S that's been too much of a challenge for my 09 Vantage. Can outrun most S in my non S C2 with PSS9 set up and software tuned exhaust and intake. But a GT3, GT3RS or a Turbo with a competent driver will give me a spanking out there. I think if I put race compound tires on the AM, it might give the GT3 and GT3RS a bit of a run. Keep in mind GT3RS comes with Pilot Sport Cups but the Aston is still no match either way. The new V12 Vantage with a sport suspension setup, a bit of negative camber track alignment and race tires might be a whole different story.
