Test Drove the V12 Vantage.

I got to drive it yesterday... Very nice. It was the carbon black version, lots of pretty carbon on interior and exterior. wider tires, bigger spoiler on trunk. Scary fast compared to my 07 vantage. Only had iphone with me, but got a few pics... This one will cost $200K, they had a DBS there also I think the vantage with the carbon beats the DBS in looks and its 400 pounds lighter and $75K cheaper.

Definitely a sweet car. I saw it at RTC.

I drove that same car about two weeks ago - It's a beast!! Loved it, but don't think I would pick the Carbon edition

Here are a few snaps I took:

Love the seat insert, nice. How is the lower front in CF looks in person?

I drove one in June at Pocono, just amazing. The car is still so well balanced it felt like my old Boxster with double the HP. I'm driving one again this Friday. I'll post after.

I have yet to drive one, but I'd like to test one out to compare. I imagine it probably has a touch more power off the line but that won't make up for the power deficit up top. Handling should be a wash since I went with the same size wheels (albeit wider rear tires) with lowering springs.

I'd really like to see someone tune this engine with chip, cats, and filter...the RS version made 600 hp, so I don't know why they detuned it for production.

That's my plan.

Drove it at Aston Martin Long Island last Friday... all I can say is WOW. This car made my 08 Vantage that has the ECU, cats, exhaust, and intake done look like a pig!

Saw the car in person at PP in Bellevue the other day. Love most of the CF touches but I'm really not a fan of all the extra vents on the hood. I understand they're necessary for cooling and all, but I much prefer the cleaner look of the V8 hood. Other than that, what a beast!

Agreed, that's why I didn't pull the trigger on one.
Also not a fan of the wheels.

Gekko, saw the 1/8 scale F40 on your signature, that is not from Amalgam, is it?

It's by Pocher - Crazy amount of detail, by far one of my favourites!

I used to love getting spins in the real one, so the owner gave me a 1/8 as a substitute
